
Sean's Floppy Bear Tutorial!

This tutorial was written in PSP 7 and you will need to download the trial versionHere
You will need my Floppy Bear Selections you can get themHere
You will also need to have either Eye candy 3 or Eye candy 4000. You can download a trial version of Eye Candy 4000Here
You will be using Effects->CutOut, and Effects->Inner Bevel.
Below are the colors you will be using for this tutorial. Right click to copy and then in PSP 7 paste as new image so that it will be handy for you to use.
If you are ready to start Then here we go:
::Step 1-The Legs::
Open a new Image 300 X 300 Transparent. Go to Layers->A new raster layer and name it leftleg.
Go to Selections->Load from Disk the leftleg.sel. With your dropper tool make your foreground color the
color #1 on your swatch. Flood Fill the selected area. Now Selections->Float then Effects->3D Effects->Cutout.
Apply the following cutout with these settings:
Vertical/Horizontal: -3
Opacity 49
Blur 23.8
Shadow color should be color #3 on your swatch.
Do not Deselect and apply the Eye Candy Jiggle with these settings:
Bubble size: 5
Warp Amount: 10
Twist: 90
Brownian Motion
Deselect.
Layer->A new raster layer and name it rightleg. Selections->Load from Disk
rightleg.sel and flood fill with color #1. Keep selected and Selections->Float
Then Apply the same Effects->3D Effects->Cutout as before. Apply Jiggle as you did with
the left leg and then Deselect.
Don't forget to save frequently so you don't lose your work.
::Step 2-The Arms::
Layer->A new raster layer and name it leftarm. Selections->Load from disk then select
leftarm.sel and flood fill again with color #1. Keep selected and repeat the same steps
as before in Step 1. Deselect.
Layer->A new raster layer and name it rightarm. Selections->Load from disk then
select rightarm.sel and flood fill again with color #1. Keep selected and repeat the same
steps as before in Step 1. Deselect.
So far you should have this:

::Step 3-The Body and Head::
Layer->A new raster layer and name it body. Selections-Load from disk then select
body.sel and flood fill with color #1 you used for the legs and arms. Keep selected and repeat the
same steps as before. Deselect.
Layer->A new raster layer and name it face. Selections->Load from disk then select
face.sel and flood fill with color #1 and repeat the same steps for the Cutout
and Jiggle. Deselect.
Now you will have your bear body put together

::Step 3-Ears::
Layer->A new raster layer and name it leftear. Selections->Load from disk leftear.sel.
Flood fill with color #1 you used for body and face. Selections->Float and apply the same Cutout and
Jiggle as before. Deselect.
Layer->A new raster layer and name it rightear. Selections->Load from disk rightear.sel.
Flood fill with same color #1 as the left ear. Selections->Float and apply the same Cutout and Jiggle.
Deselect.
Layer->A new raster layer and name it innerears. Using your airbrush tool at these settings:
Round shape
size: 13
Hardness: 0
Opacity: 100
Step: 25
Density: 100
Change your pallet color #4 on your swatch.
Spray some in the inner part of each ear and then apply Blur->Gaussian Blur
with these settings:
Radius: 4.00
::Step 4-Eyes,Mouth,and Nose::
Now you want to add the eyes. Layer->A new raster layer and name it lefteye. Selections->Load from disk
and select the lefteye.sel. Flood Fill with Black and then Effects->3D Effects->Inner Bevel and use these
settings below:
Bevel
Bevel Width: 14
Smoothness: 15
Depth: 12
Ambiance: O
Shininess: 50
Color: White
Angle: 345
Intensity: 50
Elevation: 30
Deselect.
Do the same thing for the right eye. Layer->A new raster layer and name it righteye. Selections->Load from disk
and select the righteye.sel. Flood Fill with Black and apply the Inner Bevel settings. Deselect.
Layer->A new raster layer and name it snout. Selections->Load from disk and select snout.sel.
Change your color #6 swatch and Flood Fill the snout area.
Keep Selected. Selections->Float and Apply the same Cutout only change the vertical/horizontal to :
Vertical: 2
Horizontal: -2
Keep the Opacity and shadow color and such the same as before.
Deselect.
Reminder: You may want to save again!
Layer->A new raster layer and name it nose. Selections->Load from disk nose.sel.
Change your color pallet to black again and Flood Fill. Apply Effects->3D Effects->Inner Bevel
with the same settings you used on the eyes. Deselect.
You are almost done. LOL
Layer->A new raster layer and name it mouthline1. Selections->Load from disk mline1.sel.
Flood Fill with black and Deselect.
Layer->A New raster layer and name it mouth2. Selections->Load from disk mline2.sel.
Flood Fill with Black and Deselect.
Layer->A new raster layer and name it cheeks. Using the airbrush tool again and using color #4
on your swatch apply the same airbrush settings you used for the ears and then apply the same Blur->Gaussian Blur.
::Step 5-Ribbon::

Layer->A new raster layer and name it ribbon. Selections->Load from disk ribbon.sel.
Change your color pallet to the burgandy red color on your swatch. Flood Fill the selected area
and Deselect.
Voila You now have a Floppy bear. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
