YOu will need a working knowledge of PSP 7 and I am sure you can use this in PSP 8 also. You will be using my selections, my holly tube, gradients, and a snowflake brush available from Jasc PSP.

::Supplies::

If you have downloaded your supplies then you are ready to start. ***Remember to Save often***

::Step One::

Open a new Image Transparent 600 X 600. Layers->A New Raster Layer and name it wings. Your Foreground Color should be #FFFFFF. Selections->Load from Disk and select the largewing.sel. Flood Fill the selection with your foreground color. Keep selected and Apply Effects->3D Effects Cutout with these settings:



Deselect. Layers->A New Raster Layer and name it wing2. Your foreground color will still be #FFFFFF. Selections->Load from Disk smallwing.sel. Flood Fill the selection with your foreground color. Keep selected and apply the same Effects->3D Effects Cutout that you applied for the large wings.
Deselect. Your image should look like this:




::Step Two::

Layers->A New Raster Layer and name it dress. Your foreground color will still be #FFFFFF. Selections->Load from Disk dress.sel. Flood Fill the selected area with your foreground color. Keep selected and apply Effects->3D Effects Cutout at these settings.


Deselect. Layers->A New Raster Layer and name it sleeve. Your foreground will still be #FFFFFF. Selections->Load From Disk sleeve.sel. Flood fill selected area with your foreground color and apply the same Cutout that you did for the dress. Deselect. Your image will look like this.



Bring your wing and wing2 layers to the top. Layers->Arrange bring to top.

::Step Three::

Layers->A new raster layer and name it hand. Change your foreground color to #FECBAE. Selections->Load from Disk hand.sel. Flood fill selected area with foreground color. Apply the following Cutout as before with these settings:



Deselect and on your layer pallet move your hand layer below the sleeve layer and your image will look like this below:




::Step Four::

Layers->A new raster layer and name it head. Change your foreground color to #FECBAE. Selections->Load from Disk head.sel. Flood Fill selected area with foreground color. Apply the same Cutout you used for the hand. Deselect.

Layers->A new raster layer and name it face. Selections->load from disk mouth.sel Change your foreground color to #AA3D38. Flood fill the selected area and deselect.

Layers->A new raster layer and name it eye1. Selections->load from disk lefteye.sel and flood fill it with black. Deselect. Go to Effects->3D Effects Inner bevel.



Layers->A new raster layer and name it eye2. Selections->load from disk righteye.sel. Flood fill it with black and apply the same Inner Bevel.
Layers->A new raster layer and name it cheeks. Selections->load from disk cheeks.sel. Change your foreground color to #AA3D38. Flood fill the selected area and deselect. Effects->Blur Gaussian Blur at these settings:




Your image should look like this now:



::Step Five::

Layers->A New Raster Layer and name it bangs. Selections->load from disk bangs.sel. Change your foreground color to #744848. Flood fill the selected area and deselect. Add a new layer and name it left ponytail. Selections->load from disk leftponytail.sel. Flood fill with the same color. Add another new layer and name it right ponytail. Selections->load from disk rightponytail.sel. flood fill with the same color. Deselect. On your layer pallet move your right ponytail layer below your head layer. Your image should look like this now:

::Step 6::

Layers->A new raster layer and name it rightslipper. Change your foreground color to #FFFFFF. Selections->load from disk rightslipper.sel. Flood fill selected area and apply the following cutout and then deselect.



Layers->A new raster layer and name it leftslipper. Selections->load from disk leftslipper.sel and flood fill with white and apply the same cutout. Deselect.
Now you will want to move your slippers so that they are below your dress layer. On your layer Pallet click on your rightslipper layer and Layers->Arrange sent to bottom. Do the same thing to your left slipper. Your image will look like this:



Add a new layer and call it stick. Change your foreground to gradient->cg_gold and your background to Null.


Click on your draw tool and with these settings draw a single line from just under the hand to above the angel like so:



Convert to raster layer and move your stick layer below your hand layer on your layer pallet. Add a new layer and call it snowflake. Your foreground and background color will be white. Click on your paint brush and then click on the paintbrush again and go to custom brushes. Choose number #17. The screen shots will show you how and apply the settings in the last screen shot below:






With the paint brush settings set apply it to the tip of the stick on your image. Selections->Select All Selections->Float. Change your foreground color to gradient cg_gold. Flood fill the selection. Now Selections->Modify contract by 1. Change your foreground color to #AA3D38. Flood Fill the selected area. Selections->Modify contract by 1 again. Change your foreground color to #4B5034. Flood Fill The selected area. Selections->Modify contract by 1. Change your foreground color back to #AA3D38 and flood fill the selected area. Keep selected and apply the following Inner Bevel.


Now to add the holly touches. Add a new raster layer. Click on your tubes tool and locate my holly1.tub. Use these settings and apply a sprig of holly to each ponytail, One on the sleeve and one on each slipper. YOur image should look like this:
