Making a Candle
I wrote this tutorial after I made the cake.
I hope you enjoy making it and have fun with it!

Here are the supplies you will need:

 PSP 7.04 (but you can use any version) download trial version here
 Also I used EC3 you can download a free version here.
 My snowflake frosting tube download here
 Also your Fire Tube that should already be in your
tubes folder.

Now let's begin...

1. open a new image 200 x 200 Transparent.
Set your foreground color to white and your
background color to#637889. Then set your Foreground
to Null and your background to your gradient palette.
Click on your Foreground-Background #1
angle 270, 0 repeats


2. Add a new layer. Take your selection tool select
 the rounded rectangle shape, feather 0, Antialias checked.
go to your image and start at the top and draw a thin
rectangle till you get almost to the bottom like so..


3. Flood fill with your gradient. Keep selected

4. Add a new layer. Set your Foreground to White.
Using your draw tool, freehand draw your lines on the
candle..like a candy cane see the pic below:


keep selected.

5. Now apply your EC3 plugin/Swirl at these settings


Deselect.

6. Add a new layer. Take your draw tool again
with the same settings. Foreground set to white and background set to null. Draw a line in the center and above the candle for a wick.  Add a new layer and Go to your snowflakefrosting.tub again by clicking on your Picture Tube Icon on your tool
bar. Use these settings.

make like a circle around the base of the candle.
Then add another layer and add your flame.
Using your Picture tube find your Fire tube and apply these
settings:
Scale: 12
Step: doesn't matter
put your flame on top of the wick like this

your candle should look like this.
if you are happy with your candle:
then layers/merge visible
and tube it.
Now you have a nifty candle for your cake
